Fame & Flame

today, got this anonymous person came to flame my blog x)
on a brighter side, i interprete this behavior as a jealousy of my "fame" thus the need for that deprived individual to "flame"

WoW~!

never thought that got people read my blog until will jealous and flame LOL.

anyways, this is but a low class flamer. the best one i've met by far is SingaBlogger lor. he really think carefully and do his homework, so the things he wrote to oppose Blinkymummy then is really like quite logical de juz probly his tone or wad ba. so kana rebutted until sibei jialat.

the rest of the flamers i've seen, juz flames without a mind, and without doing homework.

a good example would be this anonymous here who said 2 main points:

dude~ i never felt that i m pretty, only my amos does.

5th Year Anniversary Plans

xD yeah~! we finally decided what to do for our 5th year anniversary on 10th August 2006~!

actually, had it not been that i would be having test on 10th August and probably 11th August, we could actually celebrate it on 9th August, with the whole Singapore. actually it is also bcos of national day holiday in 2001 that we got together lolx.

we were bored on national day holiday in year 2001, so we met khryz and her then ass of a boyfren =x to go watch movie at century square. the title is: The Shu Mountain Heros
featuring Ekin Cheng and Cecilia Chong lolx. and somehow bcos of the little chat we had while walking home from changi general hospital, we discovered that actually we both got that little *`~ sparkling factor ~`* for each other since a yr ago, juz tat we thought that each other is too far to reach lolx.

oh the reason why we walk home from CGH is cos the bus 17 we rode was too shaky dunno cos of the road or the bus. but i tot it gonna explode or break apart. so we drop off and wanted to wait another.. but too impatient and adventurous, we walked home LOL. so i should thank that road and that bus LOL!

anyways, we will be celebrating it on 11th and 12th August instead ^-^

we are going on a holiday~!

k not really. cos scaredy cat me refuse to step outta country without adults. i.e. amos's mama not going with us. i dun dare. cos she super street smart. not that i dun trust my man. juz tt i believe ppl will cheat us KIDS. LOL. rite elmo? *wink*

so, being scaredy cat and time constrained, we will be having a weekend stay at ...

Ritz Carlton, Millenia, Singapore~!

in the afternoon, we'll check into the hotel, leave our barang barangs there, then go for a walk in town ^-^

then in the evening, we will come back and bath and relac a bit...

probly chat and play cards or board games, bathing ourself with the luxurious nite view of the city...

then watch fireworks about 8pm from our room's window view!

after that we will go eat International Buffet Dinner at The Greenhouse until 10.30pm when it closes! i still remember the last time we went to have buffet there with his maternal family's aunts, uncles, cousins and our dearest grandma =D the food is good, the fresh fruits got things like mangosteen, and the desserts are heavenly~!

and then we would go for a midnite show at marina square golden village!

then we would wake up to this wonderful view the early nex morning!

then a swim at the pool ...

then home we go! with lotsa good memories and photos and more love =D

juz came back from consumer behavior project meeting..

was on msn with alvin.. and i promise him to blog this idiotic part out HAa!

i m so happy today.. cos i go consumer behavior proj meeting n i noe wad to do for the proj exactly, and the group of year 2 are very very nice and fun to hang with!

*pray* reshuffle nex sem pls =x save me, rocker and MJqueen.. cos i betcha i'll be unwanted. k no need pray for LALA cos she will be complaining everywhere she go. no need pray for FiFi oso cos she will be happy wherever she go cos she's abled. no need pray for u either, u pretty fine there rite. den no need pray for Jaja oso cos he oso fine wherever he go.

oh man.. looks like happiness is only granted to the abled people.

but why is Ms Retro and Mr Kuppo not happy ar? they are so abled. haiz.

ooh! perhaps that day somebody go #81 exercise too much =X

Severe Health Notes 2

wa the reactions from that post very 0.0~!!! from many people sia.

k that one i got from forwarded email, so don't get too freaked out..

but it is true that we should practise not drinking ice-cold water during meal time.. cos got this taiwanese doctor say before somewhere on documentary or news ar.. she say we should not have ice-cold stuffs along with meals, cos it will numb our stomach, and due to this numbing effect, she either said:

the stomach will be numbed and produce too much stomach acid to digest the food, which in turn will be harmful to the stomach OR
the stomach will be numbed and not produce enough stomach acid to digest the food which in turn may cause indigestion
#2 sounds more correct leh. never mind la, either way, its harmful. i tried the effect of #1 and khryz and my mum tried #2, and khryz was sometimes having diarhea and sometimes having constipation due to this =/
so don't freak out some much over that cancer thingy la. but do try and rectify this habit especially since singapore is hot hot hot all year round, it is very likely many of us would do this =] that advice was given by that taiwan doctor cause that time summer there, then she advice people not to have those wad mango ice, red bean ice along with meals to rid off heat =]
the explanations in between given by me, oh please please please, i m not a doctor, so please dont take it whole sail. the main point that u gotta noe is juz:
Avoid Consuming Cold Food & Drinks during meal time. Period. xP

yesterday, went to ktv in the afternoon with ting and alvin. guess how much?

$16 / 3hours / 3person

cool ba? thx to ting's recommendation ^-^

the place is pretty run down, and a little smelly cos can smoke n bring outside food in. but after sit there a while den ok le. but i tink nex time when i go with amos i will ask him bring Lampe Berger HAa! the song request system a bit not as retard-proof as KBox, but surprisingly, it got the LASTEST SONGS UPDATED!!! and the MTV quality is not bad lor, is can compare with KBox de, not like that one at Smith Street, chinatown there.. kaoz got jay zhou song with chaboh running with scarf on the beach =_=" ting will be livid if she see that. HAa!

and the best best best best best thing i like about the place is............

my favourite nonya bakery is downstairs! n i can buy outside food into that ktv! oh btw, the ktv is at Katong Shopping Centre, remember? the place we used to buy school uniforms and play LAN game and eat chicken chop rice x) [i'm from bedok south sec, dunno if ur sch's uniform is sold there oso..]

anyways, i got to eat my favourite chocolate tart from that shop~! the combi of the choco n the pastry is done in sucha heavenly match that if u chew into it right when he pass to u from the fridge, the texture is OmG la! n the sweetness is juz nice.. its not like the kinda cheapo chocolate k~ *drool onto my keyboard* n hor, if u leave it to melt in the pastry cup first, den u send it into ur mouth, OMG!!! pardon my use of vocab, its orgasmic.

HAHA i haven before, but isnt it the word that is even more steady den HEAVENLY to describe such stuffs? LOL!

k nvm, anyways, after we kaobeikaobu finish 3 hours, damn shIOK caN~!!!

then we walk over to parkway to have dinner..

when passing by roxy square, we passed by the shop where ting had her tattoo done last time and saw those pictures of what they had done to customers before..

wow! impressive! got these few pictures is machiam like real creatures standing on the naked people in the pic lor! [naked where the part they have tattoo, elsewhere i not sure =x]

got this spider picture which is the same species as alvin's spider, omG. i took quite a while to realise that i m standing infronta a tattoo shop, n that is a spider TaTToo on the person, n not a real spider standing on the person!

and this lizard pic, it is so 3D that ting feel like pinching the arched back of the lizard which looks so chubby.. wow...........

mayb someone can go tattoo a "D" cup and den go naked n go for porn star audition... =x ROFL. k lame. but really.. thats how life like the tattoos appeared lor.

after standing infronta the tattoo shop n woo-waaa-wee u weet! for like 10 minutes, we passed by this cafeteria which serves Ramen, which obviously looks like Myojo Ramen which Netzspiel the LAN shop serves too HAa! ting was saying if we were to eat here, might as well go back ask song lim cook for us haha! cos song went through intensive training at Netzspiel cooking at least 30 servings per work shift he took while working there hahaha

after we crossed the overhead bridge to marine parade area, we see pasar malam and decided to get bites here n there from the stalls, then picnic somewhere hahaha!

actually i was suggesting buying cup noodle n enjoy the sea breeze at east coast earlier on, n supported by alvin, but ting was in a nuA mood, so she overthrew that thought reasonably when we still in roxy hahaha! end up, we still picnic-ed at east coast park with:

cos alvin was picky about his fillet and drumstick.. commenting that it is tasteless..
i couldnt tahan the chilli on the Roti-John even though it is supposed to be quite sweet..
ting couldnt make it through the last 2 Deep Fried Wanton, so she only ate the meat without the crust of the last 2nd wanton n i took the 3rd =P

other than that, all was gone in a blink! [k exaggerated. i mean a few blinks, and a few stare stare at this big group of walker who looks like a church outting, a few stare at this couple who look like they gonna have some fun, and a few stare at this man whom we tink we lost sight of him after he removed his top n went swimming =_= =x oh btw it was 9.30pm at that time.]

after we ate finish, we juz cant bear to unstick our butts from the stone stools of the bbq pit.. cos the wind is so cooooooooooooooooL and comfy that nite x)

we chatted bout some jokes, quizzes, gossips and work ^-^

overall, we had a really really good time, haven we? xD

and yesterday, i found out that i m not the only person who wince at the sound of sms alert on my handphone HAa! ask me the reason personally ya? cannot post here haha x)

then while walking to the bus stop at marine parade to go home, my cookie called to announce his arrival x) den i went over to his house to meet him and stayed over nite there cos already pass midnite by the time we met. chatted bout his trip, received the prezzie he chose for me painstakingly at redang [cos there wasnt much nice things there, so he chose the most special one he found for me =) ], and we shopped at taiwan together! taiwan yahoo auction =P

stupid elmo, keep thinking yellow in msn before i slp haha.. n today when i bump into him n his galfren, kaiqi, at white sands and he is still harping on it =_="

muahahaha! i got a reply for u liao la elmo:

after tat, i met my mum to ask her help me choose blazer for presentation ^-^
she helped me pay for the blazer first, n chose a pair of matching pants for it too x) and she was unable to withstand the temptation la.. bought a dress oso haha!

Weekend without Amos Part 2

although my amos travels every so often, n the way his mama's tone when she ask him to go on holiday is like:

so yup. he often go abroad. but this is the first time in so many yrs i feel so lost so lonely so alone when he's not by my side =/
even when he is in singapore, i oso never really meet him so much or talk to him so much on the phone ma. we aint those phony type =x so i dunno y particularly this time i especially felt lonely haha.
wanted to call elmo, but i tot he would be accompanying kaiqi.. so i didnt call.
wanted to call ting, but i tot i mite wake her if she asleep since she is light sleeper. so i didnt call.
wanted to call alvin, but he slp le.
wanted to call ken-chan, he oso slp le.
wanted to call marcus, but he would be with joan.
hmmm... i only wanted to chat with someone......
den i reached home, n found elmo n ting online =D so happy! like saw my star lidat hahaha..
but they busy rushing work so oso no chat much la. den elmo chg his nick to:

so true la elmo. when was the last time i emo in the day sia? er. actually is have leh. but not of this type. is more of work related den relationship driven haha.

anyway today i dedicate to me n her fren,

drifted away or bonded, is juz a choice of a different thought in ur mind. matter of choice my dear.. to me to her to us, on the mouth we mite say drift, we mite complain drift, but the fact that the kinda things the 3 of us and the rest does, is already the tangible form of the bond isnt it?
matter of choice my dear.. sometimes its doing others a favor when u allow them to do u a favor =) it would be unbalanced to keep having frens who leech on u n keep pouring emo-ness on u, but it would be unbalanced if u keep pouring n ur fren doesnt pour to u at all too x)

since the day u call me as one of ur girlies, n since the day she offers to celebrate my birthday, till now u two taught me so much, brought me so much frens, help me along so much, though the time period is but a few months, but u two have become really important to me.. =]

oh ya, someone at work asked me if he could be my good fren as of now =D
okie, lets build some frenship hahaha!

i realise that ever since kevin made me think why's the reason i dont get close to people at work, i got slightly closer to more people, n i smile more at work these days =D

Weekend without Amos

okie not like for the past two or more wk ends i was able to go out with amos.. cos i hafta work on sundays recently due to school's load..

but at least my cookie would send me to work =(

friday afternoon, he n his parents n his junior at camp, jeremy, they drove off to Redang T.T
though i dun like sea sports, and dun like long driving journey n dun like long driving journey especially in malaysia, but i wish can go with him worx. juz to be with him.

ok, redang is an island, where the Richie Ren n Ah Niu filmed Summer Bubble Tea years ago.. so by rite, u cant drive there. i oso dun really understand.. think it sounds like they drove to kuantan or kelantan today den tml dunno fly there or ferry there or something -.-

while blogging this post, i was searching for images of redang on yahoo image search.. erm.. probly cos its a beach resort oso, pictures of the island is somewhat similar to pulau ubin n phuket to me leh.. =x glad i didnt spent that money =X

btw, toking bout lifetime, done my poly version of moral education's Value's Reflection juz now LoL. feels like blogging. k i shall post it here HAa!

I felt that in my learning journey ever since I have memory, i have 3 greatest
regrets so far.

I do not know how to cherish people around me enough;
did not continue my dream and gave it up too easily for silly reasons; and did
not cherish my chances to do good enough for such a course that I like so much,
Diploma in Marketing.

Coming to an end in my 3 year course in Temasek
Polytechnic Diploma in Marketing, I have learnt and reflected on not only what I
did these 3 years, but also my previous life journey before coming into
polytechnic.

I think the greatest things i have learnt in Temasek
Polytechnic other than my skills and knowledge in my course, I have learnt more
about myself and interpersonal skills.

I realised that I had been too
dependent on people and does not have enough determination to do what I desire
and what i need to.

In terms of interpersonal skills, I have learnt not
to judge people, and not to ask so much of other people but myself. This
semester for example, the two person in my project team whom I was told by many
in our cohort that they are 'free-riders', turned out to be the people who helps
me and empathise with me a lot. They do not judge me or blame me when I could
not commit as much, when I was sick on several occasions and still had to go to
work at my part-time job.

I used to only hang around in TP with my
secondary school's friends during lunch, and did not give myself much chance to
interact with friends from my course. During the semester holiday after semester
2.2, I became close friends with a marketing boy. From him, he brought me to
know another girl, who had been his best friend since secondary school, and she
brought me to know more marketing students who in turn brought me to know even
more marketing students!

This semester 3.1 is my happiest semester in
Temasek Polytechnic, hanging out with so many students from marketing, and when
I have problems coping with projects and tests, they helped me a lot by guiding
mea little..

From someone who do not know how to make good friends and
'keep' them, I learnt from these friends who shown me where are my mistakes, and
they are very forgiving to me.. The first boy and the girl from marketing whom I
became close friends with, they are the best gift bestowed to me on my 19th
birthday this april =)

Through the part time job I hold at Villa Bali
the chill out bar, for exactly a year now, 14th July, I have really learnt a lot
from a very forgiving and generous boss.

In studying the module Sales
Management, I learnt that Ethical Practises should flow from the top of the
management down to the front line employees. Now I finally understand why I
enjoyed working there so much! From a forgiving and generous boss, who often
takes time during meetings to explain certain lessons in life he learnt with the
staffs, he has cultivated a working environment with forgiving and generous
staffs.

I aspire to be a leader like him, forgiving and generous. I am
very fortunate to have gotten a placement for internship with him as my mentor
this September! He have already generously promised to share with me the
strategies and how he markets Villa Bali with me during my internship!

I
am really thankful that I chose to come into Temasek Polytechnic, which the
course of studies had given me friend whom introduced the job at Villa Bali to
me, and the course of studies which had allowed me time to work and learn at
Villa Bali.

This is the practicality and flexibility of polytechnic
education which I loved and chose without hesitation after my 'O' levels.

Though the requirements of my course of studies and commitment in my
part time job often left me tired, however this has better mould me to have a
stronger undeterring personality and learn to have more discipline to balance my
commitments.

However, the one thing I wish to really improve on after
completing my tertiary studies here, would be to cherish and spend more time
with my love ones - my family and friends, and my boyfriend of 5 years and his
family, who has moulded such a good boyfriend for me all these years.

At
19, I am ashamed to say that I do not have a dream or a direction that I want to
pursue after graduation.

I used to have a dream of becoming the first
female conductor and music executive of the Singapore Chinese Orchestra. But
being young in secondary school, I made the rash decision to steer away from my
goal, as I was disappointed in the way some things were done by the adults whom
I had always trusted fully.

Though this time I failed not graceful at
all, but I learnt a lesson that would stay in me always:

No matter how
disappointed or angry, I will not make irrational decisions to let myself regret
again later, in future when I find a dream or a direction that I would want to
work hard for again.

Announcement

As of Tomolo, 10th July 2006, which coincides with our 4 years 11month-th anniversary, Joyce & Amos shall fulfill this treaty below, with u who read this as witnesses -.- :

Amos will cut down his ciggs gradually and ultimately quit. As of 10th July
2006, he will only have 3 sticks of ciggarettes a day. and even if he only had 1
stick the previous day, he is not to bring over the balance to the next day or
any other day -.-
Joyce will sleep before 3am on weekdays and sleep as soon as return from work on weekdays and weekends, unless doing school work.

tmd. i was asking amos when will he quit smoking. n he says its unfair that i force him to fulfill his promise when i dun fulfill mine.

he made that promise before he graduate from higher nitec lor!

k nvm. anyways, its for our own good. cos cigg price is rising n it is definitely bad for health, and his family got ppl die of smoking related health problem before, n i m sick n tired of being on my toes whenever his mama suspect him of smoking n ask me -.-"

n from tomolo onwards, the cab prices will rise again, n should i wake late for sch, damn this stupid ulu neighbourhood, ulu till bird dun lay egg dog dun shit, so often must even resort to calling cab -.- so from tml, if i haf to call a cab during peak hours of the morning, once i step onto the cab, the meter would already be abt $8 without even moving the wheels an inch.

okie. i predict that by quitting these bad habit of ours, we will be able to save up a good sum of money n go hong kong or taiwan nex april x)

haiz. still haven recover from the flu. this is bad. unlike the other times. this is taking longer than normal man.. the news says for the past two months, people getting this trendy type A flu thingy has up-ed by 12%.

had been groggy from the medicine the entire day, n can have myself up for more than 15minute -.- keep lying down on my bed, on the sofa. when i get up will dizzy n headache. irritating. i wanna faster finish my projs man. hope tml morn i'll wake up fresh n go sch finish my works.

oh ya. i was fed up with amos cos while we were on the phone discussing this matter bout quitting, he was obviously suking a stick of cigg in his mouth. -.- so i say:

Kiasu-ism

me is sick.

yesterday thought i should go see doc when i start to feel my throat inflamed, and adominal pain. so i went and ask the doctor to give me some medicine to clear the runny nose and stuff first, cos nex week and the week after i won't have time to get heavy flu.

damn.

i should have waited one more day and went today instead. cos today the flu worse and i feel feverish.

Making of a Nation's Leader

today i was in the train, when we came to this interchange station.

there was a large crowd of people tryin to get into the train.

even though there was still ample space, in fact more than enough space, but there were 2 person who kept yakking and yakking with each other, oblivious to those struggling to get into the train.

the green circle is me. the 2 red ones are the two yakking fellows. n the grey one is the handle pole. as u can see, the space available behind the 2 yakking idiots. they chose to be oblivious to the incoming traffic and continue yakking, thus the pinkies in front of them could not move inwards to allow the incoming traffic.
the purple guy was trying to move as much in as he can. so he move in front of me and sandwiched me with the glass panel behind me =.= *sniff sniff* -faint-
after the red yakking lady drop off, the red yakking baboon was reading a book he held in his hand the whole time. i turn over and saw that he was on chapter 2 -.- *action bedek*
and the title of that chapter is something like:
Making of a Nation's Leader
ya la ya la, should learn how to become one or make one~ so u can yak yak yak away for the whole singapore to hear wadever u tink the govt not good enough n u super la. instead of juz yakking to that lady to impress her rite -.-
my goodness. if the making of a nation's leader means yakking away, talking strategy on paper [chinese idiom: zhi shang tan bing], and not noticing the commoner's pain and needs [the other train commuters] , what the fuk will happen to us man.
lets hope and pray he is but another white collar PMEB who juz wants to show off. he betta not become part of the govt, if not the people are gonna eat shit under his leadership.

actually i've already understood this logic and calculus at that time when i had the dilemma, juz that i do not know how to put it into exact words to tell u. so i juz got this from a email =)

DID I MARRY THE RIGHT PERSON?
During one of our seminars, a woman asked a common question. She said
"How do I know if I married the right person?"
I noticed that there was a large man sitting next to her so I said
"It depends. Is that your husband?"
In all seriousness, she answered
"How do you know?"
Let me answer this question because the chances are good that it's weighing on your mind. Here's the answer.
EVERY relationship has a cycle. In the beginning, you fell in love with your spouse. You anticipated their call, wanted their touch, and liked their idiosyncrasies.
Falling in love with your spouse wasn't hard. In fact, it was a completely > natural and spontaneous experience. You didn't have to DO anything. That's why it's called "falling" in love... Because it's happening TO YOU.
People in love sometimes say, "I was swept of my feet." Think about the imagery of that _expression.
It implies that you were just standing there; doing nothing, and then something came along and happened TO YOU.
Falling is love is easy. It's a passive and spontaneous experience. But after a few years of marriage, the euphoria of love fades. It's the natural cycle of EVERY relationship. Slowly but surely, phone calls become a bother (if they come at all), touch is not always welcome (when it happens), and your spouse's idiosyncrasies, instead of being cute, drive you nuts.
The symptoms of this stage vary with every relationship, but if you think about your marriage, you will notice a dramatic difference between the initial stage when you were in love and a much duller or even angry subsequent stage. At this point, you and/or your spouse might start asking,
"Did I marry the right person?"
And as you and your spouse reflect on the euphoria of the love you once had, you may begin to desire that experience with someone else. This is when marriages breakdown. People blame their spouse for their unhappiness and look outside their marriage for fulfillment.
Extramarital fulfillment comes in all shapes and sizes. Infidelity is the most obvious. But sometimes people turn to work, church, a hobby, a friendship, excessive TV, or abusive substances.
But the answer to this dilemma does NOT lie outside your marriage. It lies within it. I'm not saying that you couldn't fall in love with someone else. You could. And TEMPORARILY you'd feel better. But you'd be in the same situation a few years later. Because (listen carefully to this):
THE KEY TO SUCCEEDING IN MARRIAGE IS NOT FINDING THE RIGHT PERSON; IT'S LEARNING TO LOVE THE PERSON YOU FOUND.
SUSTAINING love is not a passive or spontaneous experience. It'll NEVER just happen to you. You can't "find" LASTING love. You have to "make" it day in and day out. That's why we have the _expression "the labor of love."
Because it takes time, effort, and energy. And most importantly, it takes WISDOM. You have to know WHAT TO DO to make your marriage work. Make no mistake about it. Love is NOT a mystery. There are specific things you can do (with or without your spouse) to succeed with your marriage.
Just as there are physical laws of the universe (such as gravity), there are also laws for relationships. Just as the right diet and exercise program makes you physically stronger, certain habits in your relationship WILL make your marriage stronger. It's a direct cause and effect. If you know and apply the laws, the results are predictable... you can "make" love.
Love in marriage is indeed a "decision"... Not just a feeling.

yeap. so i m glad of my decision.. =) at least for now. i might not be as glad in future, if my big cookie slim down n decide to leave? =P

i used to have a fren, she was having a 4 years relationship prior to this one. at that time when she transfer over to this relationship, she said that it is but a form of habit that sustained them these years..

god. i do hope she would realise this before she reach this stage of the relationship cycle this round.. if not it would be horrid..though i m not close to her, i do not wish to see anyone have such regrets.. especially if at that time someone is married with kids, then its very irresponsible act to the kids..

so ya.. i wanna work hard with my cookie and pave the padi field to grow crops not for the cows in the mac game, but crops to make floor to make heart shape cookies =P
