my fren Leaf stumble upon this taiwanese auction which sells only these mickey mouse mesh caps; and claims that these caps are original from Disney. doesnt matter if authentic onot la~ if its nice n cheap, who cares? haha
so we would like to test the response n see how many ppl are interested in sharing with us in this spree ^-^
after making an overseas call to the auctioner, the person offer this first black cap to us oso, which is not posted on the auction yet. he oso offer that if we get 30 or more caps orders, he will sell us at NT$170 (SGD$9) instead of NT$199 (SGD $10.50) ^-^
[note: the SGD conversion is estimated at SGD$1 : NT$19; n the SGD amount quoted is rounded to the nex nearest cent ^-^ actual have to be cfm again when transacting.]

previously i said the postage mayb can use the Taiwan National Post Office's snail-mail rite..
k that one is NT230 for 1st kg, den every kg or lesser thereafter is NT30.

but now the seller suggested to us a faster better method at Express Mail Service , which we can get our caps in 3 days after transaction, at just 50 cents more ^-^
so now the Postage Cost is confirmed to be NT770 total. now depends on whether we will get more ppl by the time we order onot. if we maintain at 34 people, it will be SGD$1.20 each.
now what we still need to cfm abt the cost is the transfer rate which needs to be agreed with the seller; and the bank transfer rate which will charge a admin charge for the transfer. i heard the charge might be SGD$30 - $50.. so need to check again >.<

Waiting to Contact Seller to Confirm Order
we r now waiting for the seller's reply to confirm with us that he has all the stock we want. once that is done, and there is not problem, we will order by this wkend.

ALL COLLECTIONS OF MONEY WILL BE DONE BEFORE THE ORDER IS PLACED. NO $ = NO ORDER.
when the stock come:
1) me & leaf's duty ends after i hand the cap to u.
2) the cap's circumference is adjustable at the back; should there be the chance that ur head really cannt go in [=.=] , there will be no exchange. cos the person only sell 3 designs of caps stated here. if u wan to change to another 1 design among this 3, u have to pay the to and fro postage of the caps of exchange.
3) cos we will not charge extra in our own transportation when we deliver the cap to u, so we will choose locations which are convenient for us. [i stay in pasir ris & work at harbour front: so either meet me Pasir Ris Mrt, Harbour Front Mrt or Temasek Polytechnic.
let me noe ur location, i would try to accomodate as far as possible.]
4) collection will only be in the week [7 days from the day the stock reach me] after the stock arrive; any later will not be entertained, neither would there be refund. unless super valid reasons. DO NOT BE LATE OR LAST MINUTE CHANGE DATE DURING COLLECTION PLEASE. we wont wait for more than 15 minutes. if wait more than 15 minutes, we will change date to another day. as long as date is changed, $2 transport fee applies.
these terms are tentative. will be confirmed before u are required to transfer money to us.

eh gals.. i got one good news n one bad news regarding the shipment =P
good news is, i try to ask some questions around with other yahoo.tw auctioners, n i got a brief idea about the weight of our caps & shipment..
another auctioner with a similar product told me that the cap is about 70grams.
i tried going to the taiwan's national post office's website to see what is the rates to post our caps over.. its says NT260 for 1st Kg, and NT30 for every Kg thereafter..
so calculating that we got 30 caps, each cap weigh 70 grams, 30 caps weigh 2100grams.
which means, NT260 + NT30 + NT30 = NT320 = SGD 16.90 = approx. 60cents per cap ^-^
ok here comes the bad news..
the bad news is, i m not able to contact the seller now, cos i do not have chinese software at home thus cannot type to him x) so i muz wait for leaf to contact the person tml ^-^
so now, i cannot confirm that this method can be used or is suitable for our product or the seller or the law =P i briefly checked the post office's law guide abt exporting parcels.. ours should b no prob =P
will update u gals again ^-^

Updates on The Spree
now there are abt 20 people who are interested in these caps, of which abt 11 is from Leaf's forum.
from now on, till the end of this coming week, i will keep a list of the ppl interested, n the cap of interest at the right side bar of this blog, above the auto scrolling photographs. pls lemme noe if i miss out ur name =)
many ppl oso misunderstood that the $9 or $10.50 is inclusive of the shipment.

yea the one with pots of flower n a watering can..
hmm.. there are 6 pots of flowers.. 9 petals each on each flower in each pot..
wad happens when all the 6 pots flowers are all fully bloomed?

I Love The Internet
7 reasons whY i LovE the internet :hiking my legs on the nearby sofa, leaning against the back of my chair, in front of the computer, i can do shopping till Germany & Taiwan..
- i can shop the world without moving an inch of my pi gu.
- i can get wadever information i want without making call or trip to the needed place.
- i can dig out scandals from blogs n cyber community.
- i can play game.
- i can make new friends easily.
- i can blog n keep in contact with frens n cousins which i seldom meet, w/o feeling awkward
- i can entertain myself with endless entertainment..
cos me & leaf need to check out the delivery charges n all by ourself one more time so that we can be sure we didnt get *bua* by the seller in taiwan, we juz go search the net for the said service by the guy, n we compare to wad we found ourself online at the Taiwan National Post Office site ^-^ Good. Tallies. LoLx..
den we got a question:who is suppose to send the parcel to us? a taiwanese or singaporean? if singaporean, den is by singpost la? or mayb we hafta collect the parcel at singpost ourselves?haha so we went to search for EMS Singapore. n at the end of the search, we got more than we bargained for - collection at 24hours SmartLockers instead of queue at post office or wait the entire day at home for the delivery ^-^
and then we dunno how to use that locker thingy =P den i tried calling the customer service number provided. no answer. so i browsed the webbie a bit more. OOoH~! i found the ans haha! actually tot i hafta go down to the post office to enquire liao la this time haha.. saved the trip ^-^
recently digged out quite a big of scandal accidentally through cyber community & blog haha..
internet got so many games n stuff to entertain me la.. gunbound & MacDonald game can keep me bz for like 8hours liao haha.. den blog hopping to share other ppl's experience in life ^-^
n wadz quite best is i can spare the awkwardness in making new frens n keeping in contact with frens n cousins whom i seldom meet ^-^ n yet we can still keep up with our respective happenings n show care and concern at times when we need =)

slept at 8am ytd morning n woke at 7pm x) then was reading cleo n listening to some "clubbing" type of music which i ripped from elmo's car lolx!

hmm voted 3 votes for that *Lost way Army* in SuperBand haha. first time noticed them cos too many bands la. somemore that day i only watched a tiny bit of the grand slam of all the 18 bands on TV mobile. wa very ke xi sia.. the *Summer Wind* so =S still get into nex round.. n the *G-Force* very wasted, got outta the show.. haiz wasted. well wellz, sacrificial item for the organising company's surplus for 2006? =x
oh ya. here's a joke from me today =P *juz joke below ya. dun be too serious x)*
i got a new discovery today.
Blogger staff & MSN staff had a speed dating programme juz now at lunch time!
n it seems quite a fair bit of them got a successful date from the programme that they eloped simultaneously at about after dinner time~!

cos Blogger & MSN messenger both *dang* me simultaneously about after dinner timing, like 8pm+ -_-! not only me, leaf n her fren got *dang-ed* too.
i went to the help page, it says email the Blogger Team or go to the this page at a Google's group where ppl with similar problems would post there. well, since all the staffs went eloped, blogger did not provide or removed email address for me to mail my question to the blogger team!
after not being able to post Blogger or chat on MSN, i decided to take tat mango in the fridge n sit infronta the TV, n peel it n chomPed on it like as if its a banana =_=
well apparently, after about half an hour, i m able to post on blogger again =) should be some of them got caught back from eloping ya? but poor MSN, only some users were able to use back the service..
till now i still cant access MSN messengerWoW~! i was typing the previous line sayin i still couldnt access MSN messenger n i wanted to take a screen shot of that dialogue box saying: service not available; when i miraculously managed to sign in FINALLY~! AFTER 8 hours of DownTime~! *pop champagne to welcome the MSN team back*
haha take no offence ya? MSN & Blogger haha. juz joking =P
oh. was chatting on the phone, conferencing with Jacqueline & Elmo. wow. i m surprised haha
i told jacqueline we sharing shipment costs of mickey mouse caps, of which there is one black one with blings blings which i tink she might like. she never even see the pic yet she say ok buy one for me =.=
n i told her that me n elmo gonna share a push cart. she oso on-Onz n say "ok count me a share. my pay day time ya?" wow. n she says if she no contribute money, she dun mind doing sales for me at the cart, n her salary will be one necklace in return LOL!
den we chat about her work.. we tried to help her tink of some marketing stuff for her work; n we discussed if she should go for the maxim magazine shoot & interview.
all in all, it was fun chattering on the phone, the 3 of us =D

RA2 - Elmo's Bling Bling
muahaha nex month, we gonna do a sequel to our Retail Management Project, Retailing in Action Part 2 - Elmo's Bling Bling in Temasek Polytechnic Entrepreneur Carts.
actually this proj is sparked off cos me & my cousin's[Stephanie] fren, Val [in the link list ^^] tot of bringin in some accessory stuffs to sell at TP push cart.
so the proj actually was Me, Val, Stephanie & Elmo, and elizabeth who already promise to be my promoter for the push cart, last semester when i ask her =P
but now, my cousin n her fren wanna draw out.. cos they do not feel that it is feasible.
cant blame them feeling that way, cos when they were in TP, there were no entrepreneur carts yet, so they were unsure of the market =]
a bit disappointed wor.. nvm, still got Elmo support me to the end ^^!
ok, as a memo, tentatively, these would be the things i wanna put into the cart ^-^the imported accessories imported accessories from bell jie a few of that mickey caps brand new clothes from Val =D *energized & hopeful*
the last time's plan about Enigma Jewel Box fell through due to lack of communication n trust.. cos somehow i still feel insecure and doubt about how enthusiastic he is in contributing into the proj cos he really very bz n like not kanchiong abt this proj lidat leh.. =Shaiz i feel so bad. i mia from him for like a month le =S oso nv tell him anything. but he oso like not kanchiong nv find me.. ok ba x)

like i always tell the rule breakers who whines after getting punished in secondary school,i would go clear up my things, my way, my time, my target. aka own time own target.if u dun wan people to come scold u, den settle it already in the first place.

n choc-a-bloc is this chocolate cake shop near bedok 85 market. =.= tink is block 86 to be exact. BWAH.. tt area really got damn loads of nice stuff la.. 85 mkt, lu ling the traditional cake maker, n this choc cake shop.. woohoo~! probly aft they demolise block 83, they build a food mall there? ^^
oh, according to huiling aft she visits choc-a-bloc's site, she say the concept is something like the katong that choc cake shop, where it is all white, only got one counter. u cant see the cakes.. when u wan, u tell them, they take one out =.=! i dunno if we can choose.. *hmmm..*

yea~! finally getting a pair of birks~!
hmmm a gal shld always be arm with a pair of birks which can ensure her comfort at school, at mall, and for me, at work ^^
my new colleague serene buys birks online, so she'll b getting her 3rd pair of birks this mth.. lucky me to bump into her at this time ^^
me & peishan is gonna hop onto the wagon and get a pair for each of us.. elizabeth is still considering abt getting another pair of madrid design wan. the last time her germany aunt came back and got her a pair of birks.

there are the sizing guidelines provided, by teaching u to measure ur feet in milimetres n convert to their sizes.. but there is this other sizing thingy is for width of ur foot. think this applies for certain designs like Madrid cutting shoes only [madrid is the one bird owns]. so it might be better that u go personally to the birk shop at Wheelock Place n try try first.. heehee

That a bunch of human beings getting to know each other only because they are put in a situation, e.g. at an orientation camp/paid date etc, where it is engineered for people to talk to one other and say hello.

lolx.. in my point of view.. i tink this is juz another result of our singaporean styled upbringing. its in our culture to act with propriety [is my grammar correct?] ..
its is juz not in our culture and bringing-up to be so open to strangers. we are already considered quite open le.. cultures in some societies even forbids ladies to initiate interaction or shake-hand to the guys; n guys should not look eye-to-eye with the lady when interacting for long O.o..
it is oso a singaporean culture to do things in a "safe" manner. at least at certain set of situations, like orientation camps or schools, there is juz a certain level of "control", and at least we have a little information about this stranger and not totally clueless of who this person is and what's his purpose of interacting with us.
i remember studying in a subject which talked about 4 levels of risk [can't recall what subj is tt.. can liz or elmo enlighten me pls lolx]. the most risky level being that there is no information abt the event/item at all. thus when we meet strangers in the public transports or even closest to home - lift, we do not usually open up with them, unless we can get some clue of them from their appearance, dressing and perhaps some hand carried items.
today amos asked me:u really like such working at nightlife jobs & being involve in nightlife activities?
i replied:ppl at such places like bars, pubs & clubs are there to prepared to bullshit & have fun.. thus more spontaneous and not so stern..
however i would prefer to work at villa bali and not a club cos there is this balance point here, whereby people are usually slightly more spontaneous than at a restaurant; however at the same time not too over-passionate like in club. thus i feel really comfortable here =)
like what Jeremy had said in the comment for this blinkymummy's entry, people at clubs and such places are easily opened up to strangers cos "liquid courage are sold" there.. lolx..
i quite agree with him.. furthermore, previously in one episode of the dating shows hosted by taiwanese hosts Hu Gua & Gao Yi Ping, the psychologist said:decisions on such relationship matters could be affected due to a varietion in the setting.
for example, if this person is on vacation and got to know this other party, this person might be more likely to get into an intimate relationship as the person is in a relax, holiday mood, away fromharshreality [punS not intended.] however, when this person's vacation is over, and returns to the daily life, this person might not find this relationship as desirable; as being back to daily life, would mean that this person has to face things that are more of reality and of greater and longer impact, thus, decision would again be wavered.
in the same context, when a person is at the club, it is indeed easier to make frens =)
as for if they can progress any further, that would have to depend if there are any further interactions to know each other better.. LoLx..

how much time they have that is they are not working or sleeping in a day? how much time left to actually go out and socialize..
bsides, for a carpenter and car mechanic.. their education level n salary. HeLLo~~~ i m not saying that singaporean gals are mercenary.. but think this way:
the people of similar education level goes on to jobs of somewhat similar nature; or even if not so, they earn somewhat similar level of income, thus goes to somewhat similar level of recreations. and by sharing similar education level and standard of living, this people goes on to having frens of similar education level, standard of living and somewhat similar occupations. and the circle goes round n round n round, somewhat in a recycling manner like she said..
haix.. where else can they seek friends and partners but such agencies? i believe these ppl definitely dun wan it this way too.. aft all its quite embarassing, being the perception of people as: the people who goes to such frenship & marriage agency are undesirable either cos of look, charactor or status..

recently i got a somewhat *rich n famous fren, who got this problem..
[*rich as in he is quite well off at home, famous as in he is very involve in many activities in sch n very frenly thus many frens LOL]
ever since he got his driving license, somehow got many unGenuine people come n show interest and concern to him, and there even was a gal who left a love letter - annonymous - on the screen sweeper of his car O.o
haha my advice to him is:act poor, look poor. until u find a gal who loves u genuinely, dont blow ur cover.
hahaha so drama.. kk, i noe i did not do a gd fren task giving gd advice =P
haix... when i got together with amos, i didnt noe that he is quite ok at home de.. so when i noe already i got so stress.. cos he being famous Amos [somehow probably cos he is active in NPCC & peer leader activities], is known by many BDSians.. be it teacher or students.. so like even students a batch or two aft me oso noes him O.o i myself is already 3 batch aft him LOL..
so i was afraid that ppl say i fawn on the Rich n Famous hahaha.. but no la, dont tink so, so many yrs together i never heard anything lidat hahaha..

haix.. the lifestyle of the rich and famous is indeed enviable by many, and has the *look-up effect [*from Retail Management Lectures..] however, how many read pass these glam covers that they have difficulties finding sincere soulmates?
i m glad that i m Normal: not pretty but look-able; not rich but not hungry [actually i m a bit hungry now.. its 7.12am LOL] ; not famous ^^
a studies in america few yrs back shows that beautiful people are 40% more likely to have not so happy marriage or have difficulties finding a partner =/
probably cos ppl thought that:aiya~ pretty gal.. sure got boyfren wan la~ otherwise, muz b quite snobbish & sky-high, un-reach-able de la~ dont bother tryin to court
ouch. sad.

Proud.
yesterday was a fun day at work. lolx.. i went in at 8pm.. WOAH~! messy. so many tables which should hav lamps, didnt have; so many tables need to clear plates n glasses, not cleared; so many tables need to take order, not taken.
VeRy GooD. Busy.
dunno who was soOOOoo busy, that forgot an order of ice lemon tea for god noes how many ages, tt the customer was so pissed =X
damn. i really need to find some ways to learn abt wine more. the same table ask me to recommend them some red wine. so i asked ashley to recommend. but the one that ashley adviced me, the customer did not like it. so they wants ashley to come over personally to recommend. but so happen that the wine ashley recommended was sold out.. so peter adviced me on another bottle. nways, the customer chose their own in the end =.= .. .. ..... .
cos the customer went thru pretty much "trauma" n delay before getting the wine, so i was more kan chiong to serve the wine. damn i forgot to serve the sugar syrup for ice lemon tea -.-"
cos i was hand full of wine bottle, wine glass n ice lemon tea, n i was "kiap-ing" the wine bottle in such a awkward manner which i tink is not rite to present to the customer their wine.. so i ask alex to help me take the lemon tea n serve. damn. alex was having some problem too so he juz plong the tea on the table n left..
the customer was very dulan. -.- while i serve the wine, the woman said loudly:very bad service!
juz put down the tea with an awkward face n somemore served to the wrong person!
n didnt serve the sugar syrup!
yada yada yada..
i was tinking at that point in time:very unforgiving customer..
anywayz, later onZ, despite their previous "show-down", heck la, i juz try to give them more attn n ask the others at the station to be more careful when serving that table.
one time when i was serving that table, i roughly heard the woman recounting some stuff to her frens.. seem like she had some bad happenings thus the very curt reaction earlier on..
but i m so proud so happy at the end of the nite, cos later onZ, she smiles at me n say thank u =)
i m so glad that we provide ash trays & chips to customers.. lolx.. so useful haha~!
cos sometimes it mite be awkward to go over to the table n push drinks.. sometimes, its rather difficult to cut to the topic of pushing a drink cos the customers were discussing some stuff excitedly.. so it would b pretty anti climax to juz cut in n ask..
however, at times when the customers still got all the drinks n sat there for the whole nite, it is oso not very nice if we dont giv them any attn at all.. makes them feel like "nobody's child" ..
so with the chips & ashtrays..
when we see the chips bowl is empty, we go over n top up for them, at the same time we can push for drinks~! ^^
same for the ashtray, we can go over n empty the ashtray n at the same time push for drinks~!
therefore, it is not always gei zua things i do like wad mr LT always laugh at me T.T sometimes some things do extra is ok de la.. but he is rite, sometimes i m too kayu LoL..
on the side track,
ytd when we were on the transport home, dunno how the maxicab uncle started the topic with ah ho, he somehow got to noe who ah ho like n the whole cab was laughing like hell LoLx.. cos the uncle walkie talkie to the driver of the gal's cab n ask for the block the gal stay to tell ah ho.. LOL..
den before ah ho drop, he say:die le la.. uncle u lidat comm over, mon i sure tio Pok liao la..
kekekex.. i say:ho ar~ no worries, wun tio poK wan~ we are used to *it liao [his weird antics]
