Outings!

probly having a chalet with the guys before sean gets into ns on 15th oct..

ting finishing her event tomorrow, she say after that i can find her ^^ ting ting, my tiles are lonely.. do u hear them screaming for you? =p

yujun is coming back from china on 12th sept, most likely have a choc fondue party for her at amos hse next weekend. wahaha! belvedere vodka + chocolate fondue!!

xD count your blessing once a day, keeps u sane and gay ^^

his family is already is such shock and grieve of nearly losing another child, and those damn reporters juz wan to get their photo publish to subject them to be ridiculed by public.

till now, even though i've seen the photo of him on the newspaper, all over blogs and forums, and a video showing his block at upper changi road, and the newspaper saying he dropped out of school in sec 3, though i dunno him well personally, though gavin and sean have been telling me its really him,

i still hope its not him..

there's a minor trace of hope like jasmin said, when the hell did he change his name from chong ming to dave teo ming?

though i was in express and he was in normal tech, and we haven really crossed each others path in school,

i still hope its not him..

even as i write this entry, i still hope its not him..

cos his parents had already lost his brother..

i can't speak on their behalf if the pain was greater when they lost their younger son in an accident, or now when they see their other son attempting a rash decision to give up his life and freedom.

While some are deprived of life...

... there are others who recklessly give up their life.

i remember Aya Kito, from the real life story 1 litre of tears, said in her diary,

its the most wonderful thing to be able to breathe...

while gabriel of holy innocent, a filial son, a hardworking student, student leader with great ambitions and anticipation of his future wakes up one morning, ready to fight up for his future, died 10 minutes away from his home, crushed under a SBS bus...

while a young boy died on the road 6 years back, on the way to take tuition lesson...

now, the elder brother of the young boy recklessly chose to wind himself up the path of no return...

amidst the buzz around about NSman Dave Teo Ming got outta camp with a gun and got found in Orchard Cineleisure, lots of people were happily raving about:

stupid boy left one month to ORD why do this kind of thing
must be the girlfriend zhao sai him for another girl thats why he went crazy
is he trying to grab attention and scare people, afterall he dressed up in a suit when he was caught
what is wrong with SAF, how come got such run away with weapon case
he must be possessed by supernatural forces since its the 7th month now

and what disgusted me the most, was what the media and the blogosphere were trying to do to his family..

i saw the segment in the news earlier, the reporters were trying so desperately to capture a snippet of the family leaving the court. to the extend that they were already covering their faces with an umbrella, but the reporters actually went right infront of them and duck underneath the umbrella to snap their faces..

every time, a child is born into a family, there is only joy and hope in the atmosphere.. just as my nieces and nephew's birth had been..

just before faith was born, my uncle suicided. all the elders in the family were really gloom and started thinking when would their turn come. but her appearance had brought about smiles and hope.

which parent, or rather how would anybody had actually thought that a child will grow up to do something bad?

in such a time, such a society, where families with sole breadwinners are getting lesser and lesser as the living standard gets higher and higher, more and more parents are both working outside to bring the best things home for their children. as hard as they may have tried, how much can they educate their children and control their thoughts?

every family also loves their children dearly, everyone also hope that the children grew up to be one of achievements, if not just simple happiness would be gratifying. do you even think that these family members are accomplice in making dave did what he did?

if not then why penalize them as well?

on the side track, the other day i was at a dinner celebrating chef aw's team winning an international culinary competition in taiwan. i was sitting at the same table with a famous restaurant chain's boss. he was telling us how he went into court to face the judge when his son was found being underage smoking. he went into the courtroom with his head head high, as each reprimanding statement of the judge hit him, his head drooped lower and lower in shame.

parents are already traumatized enough, having to fear the future of their child, reprimanding themself what have they done to the upbringing of their child, to have the child err such a grave mistake.. that nearly killed others and himself..

if this is not traumatizing enough for the parents of a child who has made a grave mistake, this set of parents, this family, had already lost a child in an accident years back, and they are facing a fact of losing their other son..

even though he has not managed to kill the girl and is not facing death penalty, but whats the diff when he is facing a possible sentence of up to one and a half decade of jail and/or DB?

the reporters actually went to the extend of putting message on his ex gf's blog chatbox, asking to interview. outside the court, the family were trying to shield themself from the attention with an umbrella, the reporters tried so hard to catch a shot with their faces.

and paparazi-wannabe netizens dug out all the details about their past, his ex galfren crystal and her current galfren. even though these 2 girls had closed down their blogs within 2 days, but resourceful netizens actually managed to dig out the cache archives of their blogs and published for all to scrutinize.

What is the f-ing point?
are they the ones who stole the gun?
are they the ones who had cross the law now?
so what is you get a picture with their faces?
so what if you gets to understand what had happened between the 3 of them?
does the problem gets solved with these?

NO! these will only heap more hurt onto all of them..

his photo is already publicly displayed, considering he had worked for his uncle for a period of time earlier in a hawker centre, definitely there would be people who knows about him, pestering the uncle asking about him. by publishing his family's photo on newspapers will only get them more cornered by the population.. afterall, this is a grave matter to do with our internal security..

i cant help but despise the media. they should really know when to shut up. the incident involves two younger adults with bright futures. involves a family that has to face the pain of having something bad happening to their child again. involves a family who has to face the skeleton in the closet: that their girl has turned gay.

while it is already tough for any normal human to reconciliate these much truth with regards to their love ones, and most needs god knows how many years to recover from the hurt. the huge and negative attention that are gathered onto these two families is making the pain all the more excruciating.

although i dunno him very well personally, from what my impression of him in secondary school, he don't seem to be one who would juz try to scare people to grab attention. hope he has come to his senses and end the whole saga here..

definitely an excruciatingly tough period, but at least once the sentence is over he still has the freedom and his family.. hope he doesnt hurt himself or anyone anymore..

please don't gloat over the misfortune of this incident and keep on mocking dave, his family and his ex girlfren. it may sound like a "in" topic to you, to get attention from people. but please bear in mind, their "world" has crumbled and by mocking them, you're depleting them of chance to rebuild.

update on 7th sept:

haiz. poor the grandma.. her own son divorced and now in jail, and all these years she had been the one taking care of these two brothers.. now one after another they're gone.. hope she stay strong, and don't give up hope on her treatment for liver cancer..

Inner Circle

an outing we had at ming's home on 2nd feb this year
(bubu is the one with the muscular arm LOL)

i was lamenting to yin sean aka bubuzai that i had been always working working and working all these years through school days in poly and now full time work. end up i m never in the "inner circle" of friendships.

cos on the possitive side, even if people who adores me wants me to join in the fun, i would most likely be working somewhere. so as time goes by, people who still adores me will not try to get me to join them. and as more time goes by, i m out of the inner circle of friends.

on the negative side, i might be too anal to a lot of people and end up no one will want me even if i roll around my house all day.

from the dawn of time (of our friendship), i had been the optimistic one who keep coming up with overly hopeful ideas be it in fun things or schooling matters; bu had always been the anal and pessimistic stubborn donkey.

but actually, i've always been pessimistic at times, just that he haven seen me in that mode often enough to remember in this 6 years of friendship hahaha..

5 years back, i would never ever have imagined that there would be a day that bubu would be counselling me, thinking of ideas to cheer me up x)

cos in our bunch of friends, with all of them being boys, i would be the one who would try such stunts. and mind you, one year i tried to celebrate bubu's birthday and he scold me k~ dunno why he don't like to celebrate. probly cos he never liked to be in the limelight.
