Journey - Corrine May

the internet is so vast and creates physical distance between people, but at the same time, the incidences when it brings people from ends of earth to coincide together is amazing.

was searching for the lyrics of Journey by Corrine May on google. didnt manage to find any lyric sites that has it, instead i found a guy who had it on his blog. and what he said is exactly what i thought i want to say here =_=
today i just signed contract with a couple, i was thinking the groom's name is unusual =S first time i heard of it heh heh. coincidentally, the guy whom i found his blog, he has the same name: callistus
and whats more, he looks like the groom i met today =_=
and whats more more, i went to his friendster link from his blogspot, he knows my neighbour magdalene and li ann =__= anyhow found off google also got link ar. friendster is amazing.

interesting little sidetrack of the day. got me to giggle a little after a roller coaster day.
i've nicked his entire entry over, since its exactly what i want to say. save energy. seems the guy has stopped blogging altogether liao.

in any case, my above words had already been so random, so why not i juz continue to be random ya. i juz feel like talking la.

was feeling down yesterday, then i suddenly thought of something while meddling with crunchyroll.com and mobtv.sg

things like mobtv and crunchyroll can let you choose as and when and where you would be comfy to switch it to the show which you are not able to watch it while it was telecast on TV.

but your love ones can't juz switch to to "sharing mode" and "communication mode" as and when and where you would be comfy to want to spend quality time with them, within the slot which you have allocated to be "quality time with them".

bcos, for people who have constipation before sure understand this: when you don't have the FeeL to poot poot, you hafta 酝酿 the mood first, if not how you struggle also only can get the piles out. otherwise, you can take laxatives.

in the case of human communication, there would be times when one wants to "spend quality time" [the poot poot of the last example] with their love ones. but the latter was not in the mood. the latter prefers to be engaging in the computer game which he has started earlier. so the one who wants to "spend quality time" will get grouchy, cos has already spend effort to allocate time for quality communication why to reciprocal actions [constipation la] ?

when one gets grouchy and find trouble with the other, they quarrel [laxative]. through the arguement, they also considered got spend quality time liao [poot poot liao]. cos they got communicate their feelings and thoughts ma. but sometimes, one party just keep silent during the fight, then end up accumulating hard feelings [got piles liao lor] and explode one fine day, weeks months or years later, causing a massive break up in their relationship [need operation to remove the piles liao].

i is getting nutty. whatever~

Hiatus

i was in hong kong. and then i m back. i didnt touch the comp for 1 week. then i browse through the blogs on my list. then i felt sad. i start to think: whats the purpose of blogging whats the purpose of this blog whats the purpose of friendship whats the reality that is really meant when one manifest it i thought i've found the answers some time back but i feel lost again now what is the purpose of this entry what is the purpose of the questions i have just posed what is the purpose of anything at all after all the hooha of anything at the end of the day 也不过如此

appreciate appreciate. everything is nothing when there is no appreciation. a ball of dung could be deem gold if someone bothers to appreciate. yea great duh appreciate is the theory is the way of things. is it easy to practise this. no. you will start to wonder is this appreciation that you are practicing, a kind of 自欺欺人.

today is a good day

the weather is good

we are going sentosa

i closed a deal via 3 email + 1 overseas call

i had my fave almond cake from ikea for brunch's dessert

yesterday had fun doing a pre-wedding shoot with lawrence, perryn and su-lyn.

lawrence mms me a photo of yesterday's shoot damn nice!

juz waiting for him to post on his blog first, then i ask permission to post here =P

its our 6th year anniversary today x)

Photography: The Art

I was meeting a couple today with George and Sam.

The bride told me about a photographer who was recommended to her by friends, but she does not find them fantastic because she finds that he kept shooting items in various angles in every wedding, but she could not feel the emotions nor the story behind the series of photos to intrigue her to scroll down to look at more photographs.

After the meeting, 10.30pm, we were discussing about what we had learn in that meeting.

Not only were we having the KFC which I bought at 7.30pm, we had some food for thought...

Previously, we have only considered what we would like to express through our photography and videography works, to make every single wedding work that we document to become a unique keepsake for each individual couple.

But we have never had a comprehensive thought about the differences in our styles that we are trying to project, as a value added unique selling point for each artist.

The first question the bride asked:
I've looked through all your photographers work, but as a layman, I really see no difference to choose one of them.

Do you usually allocate a photographer who is available on my wedding date to me, or what?

Can you tell me in simple terms what are their differences?

Glad that I have these experienced artists with me, George explained to her in a very comprehensive way, just that the answer is really too long for me to remember LOL.

Out of soOOOOOoo many wedding journalist, how to choose a good one?

Conclusion:
As Elliot Erwitt said,
All the technique in the world doesn’t compensate for the inability to notice.
Are you looking for photographs that are beautiful and can even be framed and hang on the wall as a piece of art, or are you looking for photographs that freeze emotions right in the moment it unfold?

Very fruitful meeting, even if the couple chose another photographer at the end of the day, we gained something priceless tonight x)
